Ordained in Chicago, the Rev. Thomas A. “Tom” Momberg will soon celebrate thirty years as an Episcopal priest. While officially retired from full-time ministry, he now offers his gifts, skills, passion, and experience in several part-time ministries, not the least of which is serving as the vicar (priest-in-charge) of Church of the Annunciation. He also serves as the chaplain to Thistle & Bee, a social justice ministry created to aid survivors of human trafficking through holistic workforce preparedness.

Before his retirement, Tom served as parish priest or as chaplain in seven states: Illinois, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Along the way, he completed residencies with the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and the Center for Courage and Renewal. Since childhood, his love of music has often led him to participate in choirs and choruses, as a singer, soloist, section leader, or music director.

Tom is married to the Rev. Eyleen Farmer, longtime associate rector at Calvary Church, Memphis. They enjoy traveling together and spending as much time with their five grandchildren as possible.
